27 September 2019, Athens, Greece
On Friday, September 27, 2019, EYDAP and NTUA participated at Researcher's Night, the biggest science and research celebration, organized by the National Technical University of Athens, in the center of Athens, at the historical Averof building in Patission campus. Researcher's Night held annually in more than 300 towns throughout Europe and includes Athens with the participation of more than 13,000 citizens, focusing on young people and students.
During the event, more than 500 people, mostly students, followed a simulation of INTCACTH autonomous Heavy Metal boat capabilities, and informed about the opportunities & benefits offered by INTCATCH tools.
There was great interest and enthusiasm of all participants and Greek society started getting familiar with the term ‘Citizen Scientist’. They learned how important is to understand and detect water quality issues in their local patch and help scientists to protect the environment for a sustainable future
