EYDAP SA presented INTCATCH as Good Practice at “Knowledge transfer seminars” of the BIGDATA 4RIVERS project, INTERREG EUROPE 2014 - 2020 program

From 11-14 January 2021, R&D Department of EYDAP SA, as a stakeholder of the Attica Region in the BD4R program, presented INTCATCH boats as Good Practice at knowledge transfer seminars of European partners and project teams during a virtual study visit to Alto Minho (Portugal). Dr. Lytras and Dr. Katsouras introduced INTCATCH tools to more than 40 participants with a presentation entitled:
WATER QUALITY MONITORING WITH THE USE OF ROBOTIC BOATS
On behalf of The Region of Attica and Support Office of the General Directorate for Sustainable Development & Climate Change, Mrs. Gkoufa Antigoni, presented also the reasons that INTCATCH tools considered as a GP, characterized the autonomous boats as Technologically “mature/tested” and the benefits of their use on Improving the European Rivers Water Quality through Smart Water Management Policies. Valuable discussions among all participants enabled regarding the Joint analytical report developed by the Attica Region for the river flow management plans and the policies of the participating regions, improving the knowledge of the partners regarding the identification of good practices (GP) of other partners. Leading partner of the project is the organization "International Community of Alto Minho", while a total of seven (7) partners participate:
- Intermunicipal Community of Alto Minho
- Iberian Association of Riverside Municipalities of Duero River
- Regional Development Fund of Attica, Region of Attica
- The National Union of Romanian Entrepreneurs
- The County Administrative Board of Östergötland
- Cluster DREAM, France
- Kaunas University of Technology (KTU)
