INTCATCH 2020 campaign in Pamvotis lake

10-11 July 2019, Ioannina, Greece

In July 10th and 11th, a campaign with INTCATCH autonomous boats took place at Lake Pamvotida, Ioannina. The campaign, was organized by Athens Water Supply and Sewerage Company (EYDAP S.A.) and the Management Body of Lake Pamvotida (M.B.L.P.). The aim was to exploit the tools and services developed in the INTCATCH program and prove that the boats can provide reliable real-time results of the surface water quality in terms of key physicochemical parameters.

EYDAP's cooperation with the Management Body of Lake Pamvotida, can lead to better control of the lake's quality, identifying potential contamination by anthropogenic activities or natural processes in time through the implementation of a comprehensive surface water monitoring program.
